What should we do while we’re in Park City for the wedding?

Summer in Park City is one of our favorite parts of living in Utah, and we’d love for you to experience it too! We highly recommend extending your trip and getting out into the mountains. You can hike scenic trails, ride the gondola for epic views, go horseback riding, shop along historic Main Street, hit the golf course, or bike around town. For more ideas, check out this guide to Park City summer activities (www.visitparkcity.com). If you want our personal favorites or local tips, just text or call, we’re happy to play tour guide!

Where should we eat and drink in Park City?

Food and drinks will be provided during our Welcome Party and at the wedding, but if you're coming in early here are some of our favorite spots you can get a bite to eat! Park City Bread & Bagel FiveSeeds The Bridge Cafe No Name Saloon Maxwell's High West Saloon Handle

Do we need to rent a car?

It depends on your plans. If you’re staying in town and sticking to Main Street, you can easily walk, bike, or Uber. If you want to explore the mountains and surrounding areas, a rental car is a good idea. Ubers and transport services from the SLC Airport to Park City are readily available. Reminder that a shuttle will be provided to take you to our wedding venue that is nestled in the mountains just outside of Park City.

What effect will the elevation have on me?

Park City sits at about 7,000 feet above sea level...that’s a lot higher than most folks are used to! While most guests feel just fine, some may notice mild symptoms like shortness of breath, headaches, or fatigue the first day or two. To keep your boots from draggin’, drink plenty of water, take it easy with alcohol at first (we know… but trust us), and give yourself time to acclimate before tackling big hikes.

Are any local events happening the same weekend?

Park City often has farmer’s markets, outdoor concerts, and art fairs in the summer. We’ll keep an eye out and share what’s going on closer to the wedding weekend.

What’s the dress code? What should we pack?

For our welcome party denim is our theme! This will be a casual and fun night. On the wedding day we are calling it western chic. Think boots, fringe, hats, leather, textured fabrics, and fun accessories. Dress to embrace the mountain vibes, but keep comfort in mind, easy-to-walk-in shoes are a must. See the What to Wear page here on the website for inspiration. Evenings in Park City can get chilly, so a jacket or shawl is a good idea. Don't forget a swim suit in case you decide to take a swim, go to a spa, or hit the lake! Most importantly bring comfortable shoes as walking around outdoors is a big part of the Park City Experience.

Are kids invited?

While your little ranch hands are welcome to tag along with you our events and wedding will be an adults-only celebration, time for you to let loose! If you decide to bring them please arrange your own childcare.

What is the weather like?

June is filled with warm, sunny days (mid-70s to low 80s) and cooler nights. Bring layers so you’re comfortable from sun up to sun down. The air is dry as we are in a high desert, so drink plenty of water.

Is the wedding indoors or outdoors?

Outdoors with mountain views, of course! Inside the stables seating for dinner will be indoors, and our dance party will be in the covered round pen, but we may spill out under the stars if the night is beautiful.

How do we RSVP?

Head to our RSVP page in this website's menu and let us know if you’re comin’ to kick up your heels.

Do you have a wedding registry?

We have a beautiful home filled with everything we need, so your presence truly is the only gift we could ask for. If you’d like to share a note of advice or a financial contribution toward our honeymoon adventures, a card drop will be available at the wedding.

I have additional questions - who can I chat with?

If you have any questions about the format of our wedding weekend, need suggestions on things to do, or aren't sure what to wear we and our families are here to help! Don't hesitate to reach out.
